It's been forever, and I have nothing to do right now, so wassup!??

Anyway, If you have FL Studio 4.12, which you can get at the fruityloops website fruityloops.com, check out the song exchange forum on the website for some of my stuff. I have put up a song called Oww, and a song called Wherizit. They're both really cool, and so check them out or else! :)

Well, a whole lot is new, but I'm not going to say it all, since I want to go somewhere tonight. ;P I have finally gotten a Cobalt Flux pad for my home DDR, and I've been playing for at least an hour everyday. It's a whole lot of fun, and as of now, there are only 2 songs in the universe of DDR that I cannot beat. If you have any idea what these songs are, they're PSM and PSMO. Very VERY hard ones, by the way.

Also, I can't go to school this term, since my parents decided it against their best wishes to waste their money on my schooling, so I'm here, working, trying to save up money to earn my way to school, but the longer I work and save, the less likely it looks. It's kinda discouraging, when that's all I really want to do. :'( But it's a'ite. I'll make it somehow.

Well, I don't know what else to say here, since my mind is absolutely racing with where to, what to do, and the like. Maybe I'll go play Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. Heh heh.

PS I heard MP3.com was going to be shutting down soon. Bummer. I'll have to find a new venue, I guess. :)

So, I haven't posted in like 2 months, eh? Sounds like me!!

Anyway, I have a ton of news, since it's been a while.

First off, I went to see that Les Miserables play in AZ with 7 women (ok, so 5 of them were relatives, and the other 2 were like 6 years older than me and most likely married. big deal). The musical (I guess that's what it is) was AWESOME!! If you ever get a chance to see it, do it! I'm only an immature 18 year old, and I LOVED it!! INCREDIBLY MUCHLY SO!! Ok, so that's it.

I'm also signed up for a triathlon in Minnesota this summer, since my bishop there wants me to do the whole course instead of the short one. So I've been kinda training myself recently to do that, but I still don't feel quite ready, even though it's like 1 week and a half from now. Speaking of Minnesota, two of my friends are driving out here from there ( a 2 day drive at least) to get me and take me back. I'm excited about that, since I'll get to bring my stuff back there without any problems. The only negative side is that I won't get to see my family at all until August 15th or so, when I drive back out to AZ with my brother. That kinda stinks, but oh well. I'll manage.

Oh yeah, I noticed today that girls that you like may not like you until someone else does. As soon as they see someone else start liking you, they start wanting to do things with you as well. I guess that they just don't realize what they have until it's gone! ;)

I got my dad to buy me my fruityloops program, so I've been playing with that recently too. That means I'll have more music to put up on my MP3.com artist page, so check that out in prolly a week. That'll be exciting! He heard a song that I had converted into Fruityloops, and he decided to buy it for me. By converted I mean listen to each note of each part, and transcribe it by ear into the program, so don't think down on it because I used a simple word. :)

I'm excited for this term to be over so's I can get back to my friends in MN and start working again. MONEY MONEY MONEY!!!!!

Anyway, I have more to say, but it's time for pushups, and then for bed. I'll update you again soon though. Later Discomboblets!

So, I was checking my shtuff on MP3.com, right? I noticed a few days ago that one of my songs was in the top 40. It was actually number 38. I said to myself "cool" Then I checked the day after, and the song had moved up to rank 37! I said to myself "Nice!!!" Finally, today I checked my site, and that same song had moved up to spot 26!!! I said to myself "SWEET!!!!!" That's awesome. I've never actually seen one of my songs climb like that once it was on the top 40 site. Usually they just appear on the site and then they slowly drop off. But now, I might actually see some progress.

Anyway, yesterday's karate class was SO much fun, even though some guy almost broke my elbow. We were doing this thing where if someone grabs both your wrists, you can do these certain moves, spin around, and throw them down in front of you. This one guy tried spinning the wrong way just to see if it would work, and he ended up bending my elbow over his shoulder instead of throwing me to the side of it. I've never felt my elbow hurt that much. And now for some reason, my wrist feels like it's broken too. A certain spot has been KILLING me since yesterday. Good thing I'm not the ward piano player, otherwise I'd have to take some pain medication.

I'm so excited for tomorrow! It's gonna be awesome!! Today I'm flying out to AZ to visit with my family, and my mom, my grandma, my sister, and I are all going to see Les Miserables. It'll be my first time, but I've wanted to see it for YEARS!! OOOH I CAN'T WAIT!!!

Anyway, I'm starving. My new pact has me supa hungry for breakfast, and that's what it is right now. Laterzzz, Discombob-lets!

Holy COW!!!! I just checked my mp3.com site on a whim, and guess what?? I HAVE A SONG RANKED AT #20!!! That's the highest a song of mine has ever gone by 18 ranks!!!! WHOA MAMA!! Maybe it's about time I put some new stuff up there. In fact, I think I'll do that tomorrow. I have much cool stuff that is actually original by me, so maybe I'll put that up there. I really want fruityloops so I can keep making music, so maybe I'll buy that with my tax return. hmmmmmm......

Also, I recently competed in a DDR tournament, and was totally shocked by the results. I made into the quarter-finals, where I played the 4 seed. He beat me, but I was almost ahead of him on all the songs we played. Both the first two songs we played, I had never tried before, so that's not too bad. He had some really dirty tricks too... I was ranked 5th at the end of the tournament, and so according to the recent tournament, I am ranked #5 in the state of Utah. Of course there are people that weren't in the tournament, but that number might not be too far from right..... I don't know. I plan on competing in the next tournament that's coming up soon.

Well tomorrow's my last day here, so I've got some last studying, a little paper, packing, and goodbyes to some sweet girls to do. ;)
Laterzzz, Discombob-lets.
Ben

Hey Discombobians. I have a tad little bit o news.
I have recently purchased an adapter that lets me hook my ps2 controllers to my pc. That means that I can play the 400 some odd DDR songs I have on my computer. For those of you who know what that means, that's a very VERY cool thing.
I have just barely used it before today, and when I played today, I did a really cool thing. For those of you who know what DDR is, and a little about it, read on. Otherwise, you might as well not bother. DDR is Dance Dance Revolution for you uneducated ones.
Well, andyway, when I played today, I played just a few sets (since my pad is acting funky) and ended up crossing like 5 songs off of my list of 8 and 9 footers that need to be completed. One of which was a 10 footer!!! I DID A TEN FOOTER!!!!!! The song was bag, which is considered one of the lighter 10s, but STILL!!! I FINALLY MOVED UP!!! I got a C on it too. I can't wait to bring that list of songs I need to beat down to 4 or 5. That'll be awesome.
Also, I have a DDR competition, tournament if you will, this saturday. I can't wait. I was told by some people that I would do really well, and I trust their opinion as they don't feel too bad telling me the truth, and they are avid DDRers themselves. I CAN'T WAIT!!!! Did I already say that??
Heh heh. Now it's time to work on my supa-easy english final that's due tomorrow. Later, peeps!!

[Ben]

Hey, sorry I haven't written in a while. Not like I'm actually talking to anyone though..... :)
Well, March is over, and once again the monthly plays on my mp3.com site went up, although not by much at all. The total is........... drumroll please................ 1099! YAYS!!
Not really too high of a number, but it's still cool IMHO.
I'm kinda bored right now. My day earlier today was crazily busy, I had TONS of stuff to turn in. Now that it's all in, I don't know what to do! Someone help me find something! I suppose I could always watch my Two Towers DVD, since I fell asleep during Helm's Deep last time I watched it. Yeah, I know, I know. Helm's Deep is the coolest part, I KNOW! But I was DANG tired. I don't think you could've kept me up by throwing me IN the battle of Helm's Deep.
Whatever, I'm off to find something fun. Maybe I'll give someone a call. ;)

Yo, discombobians! How's it goin? I'm doin finely dand-o-delic myself, but that's because I'm in a really good mood today!

As you know, today was St. Patrick's day (kiss me, I ain't Irish). And here at BYU, the cannon center where I eat sometimes puts on celebratory shows for holidays. Today, for dinner, me and one of my good friends went to eat, and there were some celtic dancers there!!! It was SO cool! And after that, it was silent for like 5 minutes. Everyone was sitting there eating quietly, when all of a sudden, 3 droning bagpipers came marching into the room!! It was SOOOOOOOO SCHWEET! I didn't get to listen to them all the way, as my friend and I had to get to FHE. It was so incredibly cool! They were some dang good bagpipers as well!

Anyway, I'm excited about tomorrow too. I get to help cheer a friend up with some home baked goodness, and I also get to see President Hinckley at devotional!! It's gonna RULE!! I can't wait! Oh, the enlightenment will be SO exciting! heh heh, sorry, but I'm really in a good mood tonight!

Anyway, I also am really excited because I just got back from an excursion up mount Nebo a few days ago. We had left at like 2:30 in the morning to make it to the meeting place, and we left at 3:00 to go to the mountain. We hiked up the mountain well until it was light, and we were at the foot of the summit, probably about 1200 vertical feet below the summit, and a half mile walk to it. Once we were there, we got hit by a humungous blizzard that reduced visibility to about 5 feet, especially since I didn't have any goggles. The snow was blowing SO fast, that it made me keep my eyes shut almost ALL the time, and it made my face sting. On top of that, both pairs of my gloves were totally soaking wet, my hands were freezing, my ears were dying, and my feet were swimming in my own portable lakes. But really, it wasn't too bad. Once we were hit by the blizzard, we were forced to turn around, but that didn't ease any of the pain. Our guide hadn't been on the mountain at all, and so she had no idea as to how to get down the easiest way. So we managed to find our old tracks, and follow them below the blizzard line. Once we got low enough, we started to slide down the mountain on our pants. It was a lot of fun, but sometimes it got scary. We eventually made it down the mountain, and we returned home about 3 hours earlier than expected. It was a lot of fun! We got to use snowshoes with clampons, and ice axes. It was also a lot of exercise, although it's suprising I made it after playing 6 hours of DDR at the arcade about 3 hours previous to climbing. The important thing is that I know I could've made it if the blizzard hadn't forced us back.
Oh boy, talk about a scary, fun, and exHAUSTING experience! I slept for 18.5 hours after coming home! Oh yeah, the tips of my big toes don't have any feeling anymore. Is that bad??

HA! g'night, Discombobians. I'm pretty exhausted still. I haven't caught up yet........ I have some tidbits of information to share.
As you know, the month of February is now over, and that means I can share the total plays on my mp3.com site. My first month, I had like 250 plays, the second month was 430, and this last month was 1035. If it keeps going on the up and up, maybe I'll actually get some top 40 songs consistantly. That's one of my goals. It would also help if I had Fruityloops, so that I could continue my music making.
Also, the tube rolling is at least at an impass now. A group of people were caught by a field worker, and he said they were trespassing. So they can't be doing that for a while, at least until things cool off again. They didn't get in any trouble or anything, but we want to be able to roll in this tube for a lot longer. It's a lot of fun, and we want to be able to initiate more people into it later.
I know I've got some other news too, but I can't think of any of it right now. So I'll let you go now. Later, Discombobians.

Hey guys. I just broke 1000 plays on my artist page the other day. I also got a song into the top 40! Okay, so it was only ranked at 38, but STILL! THAT'S PRETTY GOOD!!
I haven't had any luck with the Nintendo copyright shtuff, but I'm gonna keep trying until I get it. I won't let Jon down!!
College is going good so far. Except for one thing. I turned in a paper for English recently, and I had spent a long time working on it, and making it good. I thought it was a very well done paper. I got a 65/100 on it. I thought "Whoa! Something's wrong here. Is this MY paper??" but there was no mistake. I don't get it! Maybe my teacher is just strict, but that wasn't a very good grade.
I also recently found out that I recieved a check in the mail that belonged to one of my friends. I don't know how I'm supposed to get it back to him, but I'll definitely try.
Sorry, but it's 3:59 right now, and I am dead tired. I'll update you again as soon as something new happens.
Later, Discombobians.

Well, it's 1:15, and I just got back from the most fun night in the world. I had gone to a friend's room, and we were playing DDR for probably an hour. It was still fun, but an even more fun idea came up. The guys upstairs had taken a big black tube from the nearby construction site, and moved it to an open field. They have people climb in the tube, and roll it down the hill. The first few runs we did were down a big open hill, so we wouldn't hit anything, and it was AWESOME! There's no way to describe it. As soon as the tube stops spinning, you fall out the side of the tube, and your body keeps spinning, whether you want to or not. I did the first two runs, along with some other guys. Then we decided to move the tube to the middle of an unused street. It had a pretty good hill, so people were excited. The first run down the street ended up with the tube turning off course, and hitting a tree. It didn't hurt anyone, or throw anyone out, but it sure stopped the tube. The second run was a smooth one, right into the bushes where the road curved. So, since the last one was so perfect, more people climbed in. This time, the tube turned to the right, hit the fence at an angle, spun around, and threw the people in the tube completely out into the road. It was SO cool! One of the guys was thrown entirely out SO hard, that his beanie came completely off! The next run was down a different course, where we would dodge in between two trees, and go over the road, and stop in the middle of a little field. It was a good run. The last one, which was my 3rd one, was SWEET! We ended up turning a little too far to the left, and we came to an ubrupt stop when we hit the basketball pole. It wasn't a bad impact, but it was noticeable. It's so disorienting when you're in it, it's not even funny.

I still feel like I'm going to throw up. I sure hope I don't, though. Next time, I'll take a picture of what it looks like. I don't know how you'll get it, though.
Later, Discombobians.

Well, I finally got my MP3.com issue resolved. I got my artist upgraded to gold, and I have found out how to get songs back on my page. There is an option called arrange song list, which I had never noticed until now. The wierd thing is that in the arrange option, there is a list of songs NOT to display. I don't get why that's there. If I took the time to upload all my songs, and get all the stuff I needed to do that, why would I want to not display my songs?

Hey, if you have kids or like kids stories, get the Pecos Bill recording with narrative by Robin Williams, and music by Ry Cooder. It's awesome. I'm sitting here listening to it while my roommate sleeps. Of course that means I'm using headphones, since I like to hear what I'm listening to. I haven't heard this for probably a year. It's amazing how much of it I have memorized from when I was a kid. I remember wanting to go to West Texas to see if he really was still alive.

Well, it's getting really early (heh), so I think I'll hit the hay. I can't forget to check for bedbugs though. You never know when you might get some, and you don't want to be surprised when you do. G'night, discombobians!

Hey Discombos, how's it going?

I have recently made a vow to not play video games at all, except for DDR (exercise), for the entire month of February. I have done this kind of thing before, and I was able to find out that there are fun things to do instead of watching tv or playing games. I hope I can find them again. :)

College life is really good. It's awesome to be able to wake up in the morning, pull out some breakfast, eat it, take a nice hot shower, and get to class at 1:00!! I like being in such close proximity to all my friends, too. Every guy I know on campus lives within 1 minute of me. That usually means upstairs or downstairs.

One thing I don't really like about my dorm, though. It seems that EVERYDAY when I need to use the bathroom to get ready for school, the cleaning people are in it! It's as if they memorized my schedule, and use my time just to make me mad. That just means that I have to walk to the next hall, and use their bathroom, but it's still a pain. I wish I could still use the showers while the lady is vaccuuming. It's not like she's vaccuuming the tile in the bathroom or anything. Sheesh!

Eh, well I'm done complaining for today. See you later, discombobians. :)

Well, not too much new to share. However, I do have a little tad to tell you.

Recently, MP3.com has updated it's artist policy. Basic artists (free) are only allowed to have 3 songs on their page at a time. Premium and Gold are allowed 100. I am a basic artist, but I have 6 or 7 songs on my page. Now that's not all my songs, but it's still wierd. I would like to upgrade to a premium artist, since it's only 5 bucks a month, but I can't because I haven't gotten my check card in the mail yet. I have to wait for that before I can register on MP3.com, register MusicMatch, and buy some cinnamon toothpicks (YAY). I am starting to get a little bugged, but I can wait a few more days. I want to be able to let my fans listen to all my music. I have somethin like 20 songs. And I have a lot of good ones that aren't on the page anymore.

I also am kind of worried about this upcoming month. February, the month of love. Valentines day. The day of love. For me, it's the day to feel sad about not having any love shared with me. And also, that's the night of the Sadie Hawkins dance. Now, as you may know, that's a girl-ask-guy dance. I've never had good luck with those, and plus, I'm the new guy here. Not too many people really know me yet. So I don't expect to get asked. But, you know, if I don't get asked to the dance, I'll stay home and play Dance Dance Revolution all night, and have MORE FUN THAN THEM!!! PHA HAA AAAAHH HAA! yeah right....

Well, It's 12:15 Monday morning, and I need to sleep so I can go to my first class at 1:00 (JOYS!!). Catch ya later, discombobians!

Well, hello again. I've got some very cool news to share.

Have you heard of Jon Schmidt before? He is a piano composer, and I dare say the best one alive today. If you haven't, go over to http://www.jonschmidt.com to check out his web page. Or you can go to http://www.mp3.com/jonschmidt to hear 4 hours of his music for free. You can download a lot of it too. It's awesome! The best are Waterfall, Cherished Moments, All of Me, and Winter Wind. I LOVE them!!

Anyway, I was talking to him, and he wants me to find him some NES music that he can transcribe into sheet music for kids. I gladly accepted, and can't wait to show him what I've found. It's kind of tricky getting rights to that kind of thing, but I'll do it. I love NES music, as you can tell by MY artist page. I really need to buy fruityloops so that I can continue the making though. I had the illegal version, but I won't allow myself to use it anymore until I register it. And it WILL happen, too.

Anyway, I've got a lot of nothing to do, so see you later. Thanks for the comments in my comment box. Later, Discombobians!

Hey there, Discombobians. Don't have too much to share today, but I can update you on a few things.

At first, when I came here, I thought that all my classes were super easy, but now they're starting to get a little difficult. My english class has 3 tons of homework every week, and we only have one hour of class time. My math class started out super easy as well, but now I'm starting to think that I'd better go to class to learn (it's an online class, so I don't have to go as long as I'm ahead in the homework). Phooie! School should be easy!!

Also, I went to a dance last night. This is the second one in the second week I've been here. I hope they have them every week like this, that'd be awesome! The only problem is that I always go with a friend's ward, and not mine. I don't think I'll really get involved with my ward since they have already been friends for a term, and I don't have any connections in the middle. However, my friend that I knew from MN has invited me on all sorts of things, and since she is kind of the center, people notice me as well. The people here are really nice, don't get me wrong, but they have to have some reason to talk to you. Kind of like most people in a way.

Some more news. This is probably the best news of them all. Recently, one of my friends gave me a music book for piano that has one of the most fun songs to play in it. I had never heard of this artist before, but since then, I've gotten a lot of his music, and I've joined his fan list. His name is Jon Schmidt, and he is one of the most brilliant composers nowadays. Guess what? He's coming here, to BYU, to do a concert on Feb 7th!!!! I can't wait!! Even more exciting is that I actually got someone to go with me! YAYS!! I would HIGHLY recommend you check him out sometime. You can either go to http://www.jonschmidt.com or http://www.mp3.com/jonschmidt He's got LOTS of free music in MP3 format on his MP3.com page. Check him out, I bet you'll love him.

Anyway, got to go. Write you later, and don't forget to check the corners......

Well hIZZello, Discombobians! I've got some news to share.
I have a continuing dilemma with MP3.com. They finally let me check my artist page, which has quite a few things new about it. The songs I uploaded weren't accepted for a few reasons. The one I made wasn't accepted because it says it's in the "wrong genre", so that sucks. The other songs I tried to upload, which were all from Mega Man 3 or 4 wouldn't go up because, get this, there was a copyright error with the PICTURE. I used a screenshot of the main title screen for my picture, and they won't let me do that. Keep in mind this is after I made a complete remake of one of their SONGS!!! I don't get it.... Another thing that's messed up about my MP3.com page is that usually, you post a song, and once all the files are verified (takes about 10 minutes), you click finish, and the song goes to get approved (takes a couple days). Now, the verifying process takes a few days, and then the approval takes a couple weeks. This is probably because I'm only a basic artist. They also said that I can only post 3 songs on my artist page starting Jan 31, but Premium artists can display up to 100. I think I'll upgrade to Premium, since it's only 5 bucks a month. That's not bad, and I get some other features as well.
I have some good news to share about MP3.com though. I finally got to check my artist page, as I said, and guess what? There were 36 plays on my songs yesterday! That's a lot, since I only have like 9 songs on there! But anyway, I went through to check which songs got played how many times, and my Zelda 2 - Intro song was played 11 times!! That bumped it up to rank 51!!!! That's the highest any of my songs have gone by 20 ranks!! So I'm excited, as you could probably tell.
Well, I gotta get ready for my 1:00 class (my first one today).
Oh yeah, one of my friends that I knew from MN is coming over today. YAYS! We're going to bust out some Dance Dance Revolution!

Ok, lata Discombobians.

Yo! Hello people, how's it going? I just got back from my classes today. It feels SO good to not have to go to class until 1:00! I tell you, all you poor high schoolers really have the short end of the stick. College is so open and free, I can pretty much do what I want when I want. Of course I have to live by the Honor Code, so I can't do EVERYTHING I want. But oh well.
I officially am mad at MP3.com. Over a week ago, I posted a ton of new songs, like 6 or 7 or something, and they're still not up yet! And today when I tried to logon to my artist page, they said I need to get a 4 digit password so they can assure it's me. Keep in mind that I check my artist page at least every other day. I don't know what's going on at MP3.com, but I wish it would stop so I can get back to my fans! :)
Anyway, I've got a lot of lazyness ahead of me, so I'll see you later, Discombobians. Don't forget to check back on my artist page for weekly updates. Of course, that's as long as MP3.com stays on schedule. Sheesh!

Peace out!

Hey there Discombobians. Sorry to not have written in such a long time, but I haven't had access to a computer for weeks. I've just gotten off vacation, and am now at BYU where I will attend college (obviously). I've got mixed feelings about being up here. I love it so far, but I miss everyone I left SO terribly. I'll eventually get over it, but I don't know how soon. Maybe It's just that I haven't met anyone other than my roommate yet. When classes start, that'll be different.

I've got some news, people. You know how I'm an artist on MP3.com? Well, I just checked the Electronic Cover Songs genre (where I put all my music), and two of my songs are at a higher ranking than I've ever had before!! I have one at 109, and one at 120!! Hey, you could listen to them, and push them even higher if you'd like! Every listen helps my ranking, so please contribute!

Anyway, I've got to get back to setting up my room. Stereo systems with all the components take a while to get working right. Phew!

Later Discombobians!

Well, Discombobians, I got some good news. As you know, I entered myself as an artist on MP3.com, and I just posted three songs up there to start out. Well, one of them is rank 122 on the Electronic Cover Songs chart, one is 184, and one is 192. That's not bad, since they weren't even on the charts until maybe two days ago. I'll keep watching them, and I'll keep updating you.

I wonder what songs I'll put up next.....

Well, hello there faithful Discombobians! I have recently entered myself as an artist on MP3.com! I have posted a few NES songs that I remade, and I plan to post three new songs every week. I don't think my artist has been approved yet though, but it will be up by the end of the week. As soon as it's up, I'll post a link to my page on the left there. Let me know if you have any suggestions of certain songs to do.

Oh, by the way, I use Fruityloops. It is by far the most versatile music program I have EVER used, and it is undoubtedly the ABSOLUTE BEST for $99.
